INNER WHEEL

FEBRUARY 12th saw the visit of Inner Wheel District Chairman, Mrs Diane Jones, who joined members afterwards for lunch. On March 11th our club had a most interesting and inspiring talk by Nicky Osborne on 'Guide Dogs For the Blind.'

Nicky spoke enthusiastically about her role as a puppy walker, having the puppy at six weeks of age until just after its first birthday when it goes on to 'secondary education' for more intense training. Nicky's talk was very informative, providing a real insight into how the dogs are trained and she brought along 'Adam,' a gorgeous golden retriever who behaved impeccably - a tribute to the obvious love Nicky has for him and for the work she is doing.
The skittles match in February provided an enjoyable evening though, unfortunately, we lost. On May 22nd a visit to the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham is planned to see 'Beauty and the Beast on Ice.'
